Professional Experience

		Florian has a large experience in the hospitality industry,
		having worked for leading hotel, as well as consulting companies.
		Florian has been Operations Manager and Member of the
		Board of Directors at REWE Touristik Gmbh (ITC España, S. A.), for Calimera Aktivhotels and PrimaSol Hotels (a total of 8 hotel units in the Canary and Balear islands with 4.600 beds and 750 employees).
		He has been involved in the planning and design of new
		hotel units. Florian was also responsible for the technical direction of the investments and their construction. Furthermore, at REWE he participated in the fusion of the ITS and LTI hotel units (50), in order to optimize its operational management.
		As consultant, Florian has participated in projects for
		companies such as: Group H10 Hotels, Golden Hotels, Fiesta Hotels & Resorts, Sol Meliá, Hilton International, Barceló Hotels, Gruphotel, Grupo Paradís, Tapasbar, CAEB, as well as for many sectorial federations.
		In addition Florian has been Hotel Director at the Hotel Parc
		del Vallés (4*), being actually responsible for its opening and where he applied diverse crisis management systems (due to the hotel industry situation at that moment).
		At Grupo Hotelero LIHSA - a group with 12 hotels and 15
		restaurants, sport and entertainment facilities with base in Barcelona (Spain), Florian was Assistant Director in the areas of F&B, Marketing and Training. He was specially involved in the openings of the properties of the group, as well as on the development of the purchasing central for the group.
		In Germany, he was Assistant Manager and Marketing and
		Sales Responsible at Astron Hotels, Munich. During his time there, he participated in the opening of a new 221 room hotel speciallized on business, congress and conventions. Before joining Astron Hotels, Florian worked as F&B Manager for Nestor Gastronomie at the Kultur- und Kongresszentrum Ottobrunn, Munich. This cultural and congress center has capacity for 2000 people, with 15 polyvalent rooms, one auditorium and 2 restaurant units.

		Hostelería y Turismo, Sant Pol de Mar, Barcelona, Spain).
		Technician in Tourism Business and Activities (Centro de
		Estudios Técnico Turísticos, Barcelona, Spain).
		Hospitality trainer course (German Chamber of Industry and
		Commerce, Barcelona, Spain).
		Course in F&B Management (Centre International of Glion,
		Schwizerland).
		Co-author of the bestseller book “Gestión de Calidad
		aplicada a Hostelería y Restauración”, of Pearson Educación / Prentice Hall - 2002.
		Related with quality management, Florian has a large
		experience professional experience, furthermore, he has attended the following courses: ISO norms 9000 and 9004/2 (AENOR), Internal Auditor for ISO 9000 and Environmental Auditor (Lloyd´s Register Quality Assurance), ICHE System Auditor (ICTE), EFQM for managerial excellence (Club de Gestión de Calidad), Process Management - BPM (Club de Gestión de Calidad), Quality System Manager (European Organization for Quality).
		Florian is member of the following: Asociación Española de
		Calidad, Club de Chefs de Catalunya, Asociación Española de Directores de Hotel, Club de Gestión de Calidad/EOQ.
		Furthermore, Florian is teaching as an associate professor
		at several schools in Spain such as: Escuela de Hostelería de Sevilla, Fundación San Valero - Cámara de Comercio, Zaragoza, Escuela Superior de Marketing y Turismo de Barcelona (ESMATUR).
